[About Plain White T's]

Plain White T's (read as "plain white tees") is an American pop punk band from Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 1997 by high school friends Tom Higgenson, Dave Tirio, Ken Fletcher and Steve Mast. The group had a mostly underground following in Chicago basements, clubs, and bars in its early years.

The band is best known for the number-one hit song "Hey There Delilah", which achieved platinum status in 2007 and earned two Grammy nominations, as well as "1, 2, 3, 4" and "Rhythm of Love", which were certified platinum in 2009 and 2011, respectively.

The Click Five-Don't Let Me Go 從英文歌曲談人權教育

原本我就滿喜歡這個樂團的作品，因為他們的音樂很能夠觸動人心，而最近在網路上發現他們不算太新的一首歌曲，起初不以為意，只是被這首溫和的旋律以及主唱的歌聲所吸引，後來卻注意到這首MV有些特別的地方...

有沒有發現MV當中所有人都矇著眼睛？沒錯，這首歌談論的是「人口販運」(trafficking)的人權議題，「矇眼」的意象便是用來傳達遭販運人口茫然、無助的的心境，接著來看看歌詞吧！

稍微解釋一下歌詞的內涵：

第一段([1])的視角是以一個第三者的角度來道出這些遭到販運的婦女或小孩悲傷的處境。

而偶數段([2]、[4]、[6])歌詞，不難發現，便是以遭到販運的受害者的角度訴說，苦苦哀求著人口販子別將她們帶走。

第三段([3])歌詞則是被販運的受害者，被關在車上不曉得要被送往何處無助的心境。

第五段([5])的敘事者，可能是你，可能是我，我們告訴這些受害者，我們已經來到了她們的身旁，大聲說：「我們需要你！」並且帶領她們脫離困境！

歌詞的力道或許沒辦法看出這見事情的嚴重性，所以MV當中穿插了許多令人震驚的事實與數據(facts and figures)如下：

全世界隨時都有250萬名遭非法販運的受害者。

1.2 million children are trafficked each year.

每年有120萬名孩童遭非法販運。

我們總會視我們所擁有的人身自由以及人權為理所當然，人啂販運對於身處台灣的我們並不常發生(不代表沒有)，因此大概你我都難以想像！但如果我們有能力，或許可以付出多一點點的關懷和努力，去影響這個世界，即便是一點點微薄之力，都有可能防止這樣的悲劇，讓世界變得更好！
